Who we are ?

Everything Began with a Broken Childhood…

In 1993, a 13-year-old boy made a heartbreaking decision — to leave his home. His father had just passed away.

His mother, overwhelmed, was left alone with several children to feed and no means to do so.That boy was Viateur Ciza, the future co-founder of Strong Bridge.

He ended up on the streets of Bujumbura, where pain and survival led him to drugs. It was the beginning of a long and painful descent… but not the end.

Through courage, faith, and the support of those who believed in him, Viateur was liberated from addiction. And he made a promise: no other child should go through what I’ve been through alone.

Together with friends, he created the organization Hope for Family — a small light of hope.That light has grown.
It is now Strong Bridge — a powerful movement of healing, transformation, and new beginnings.Strong Bridge is a non-profit organization that works to combat drug consumation.

Our mission is to reach drug addicts in families, on the streets, in prisons, in displacement camps, in other places where many people may reside with a message of hope that drug addicts can be free and serve their communities again in Burundi.

Our vision is to build a world without drugs and bright young people serving their communities.
